Grace Burton, MS, RDN, LDN

General Healthy Eating, Emotional Eating, Weight Management

Are you tired of counting calories or restricting certain food groups? Grace is an “anti-diet” dietitian who enjoys helping patients work towards a more inclusive, rather than exclusive, diet. She knows that food can and should be both parts nourishing and enjoyable and she educates patients on this too. She likes to help patients improve their relationship with food and learn how to have a balanced diet without food rules. Grace promotes wellness and the fact that overall health encompasses so much more than the number on the scale; she enjoys helping patients make lifestyle changes that improve both physical and mental health.

Grace enjoys working with patients on weight management, emotional eating, and general healthy eating, including managing chronic diseases like hyperlipidemia and hypertension. Her counseling style is laid back, conversational, and non-judgmental.

Outside of her professional life Grace likes to run, play tennis, try new restaurants, read, go to the beach, and watch NC State football and basketball games. She will love to hear about your pets, favorite restaurants, shows, and any races you’ve run in.

Grace Burton is an amazing dietitian who helped me make small changes in my habits to reach my goals. I have lost 66 pounds in the past 9 months, but most importantly I have learned healthy habits that will be sustainable for the rest of my life. Thank you for being the kick start that I needed!

Grace has absolutely changed my life and made me a much more confident and healthy individual. I have dealt with extremely negative associations with diet culture and body image and Grace has aided me in managing those feelings and slowly changing my perspective.

Grace has been such a blessing for me since January. She has helped me develop good lifelong habits and handle my unhealthy relationship with food. I will continue seeing her once a week for as long as possible due to her kind, and understanding demeanor. She is truly great at what she does.

Grace is amazing! She’s so easy to talk to and focuses on the whole person. Nutritional services isn’t just about dieting, it’s about making small, healthy changes to achieve long term goals. I am about a month in and I can already notice a difference in how I think about food and the way I feel. I don’t feel deprived and I have more energy. Having Grace for accountability and encouragement has truly helped!
